Education

Overview

RCA provides numerous learning opportunities for the HR community by offering WorldatWork certification courses, seminars and examinations right in the Richmond area. Each certification course includes 2 full days of classroom instruction followed by a four-hour exam session on the third day. Meals are provided and accommodations are available for overnight stays. HR professionals who are working towards any WorldatWork certification may also do self-study and test out of any other course during the exam session on the final day.

RCA is pleased to offer the following courses in the Richmond area:
 
March 29-30, 2012
This course provides an in-depth discussion of the principles, design, implementation and evaluation of an employee base pay program. Exercises will show how to design a pay program that is fair, competitive and supportive of an organization’s compensation strategy.
 
August 16-17, 2012
This course presents the fundamentals of variable pay. The course focuses on compensation strategy and variable pay, definitions and the design and implementation of incentive, recognition and bonus plans.
 
October 11-12, 2012
This course is designed for participants seeking an opportunity to expand their understanding and practical knowledge of advanced concepts around the benefits design process.  Topics include strategic assessment, conducting a gap analysis, plan selection and design, costing benefits plans, funding arrangements, and gaining management buy-in and approval for implementation of the new and proposed benefits plan.
